Abstract

Lectins isolated from Azospirillum brasilense Sp7 and Sp245 increased, with different intensities, the content of proline in ZnSO4-exposed roots of 4-day-old seedlings of wheat. The results indicate that the Azospirillum lectins play a part in adaptational changes in wheat seedling roots, promoting the normal course of metabolism and ensuring the regulation of the plant Azospirillum interaction under abiotic effects.
