Abstract

The content of glycoglycerolipids of vacuolar membranes of beet root (Beta vulgaris L.) was studied. With hyperosmotic stress, the DGDG/MGDG ratio was significantly decreased and the amount of MGDG also decreased, which may be a protective reaction for this type of stress.
