Abstract

The electrophoretically homogenous samples of cytoplasmic and cell wall-bound β-glucosidase (EC. 3.2.1.21) of pea plats were obtained. It was shown that hydrogen peroxide and ions of Аg+, Hg+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Mn2+ inhibited but ions of Mg2+, Ca2+, Fe2+ increased the activity of both molecular forms of the enzyme. Hypoxia and CO2-media partially eliminated inhibiting effect of peroxide on β-glucosidase.
