Abstract
The impact of high mountain adverse conditions on the Taraxacum officinale Wigg. was studied. Plants of this species were examined at altitudes of 200, 600, 1300, 2000, 2700 and 3000m above sea level. The effect of extreme high mountain conditions on plants of Taraxacum officinale resulted in the reduction of fertility, the increase in mass of seeds and enhancement of level of chromosomal aberrations.
