Abstract
The results of researches on cultivation of somatic cells of sugar sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) grown in the conditions of the Southeast of Kazakhstan are given. Somatic cells of sugar sorghum were cultured in a modified Murashige-Skoga medium (2 mg /l 2,4-D, 20 g/l sucrose, 100 mg/l meso-inositol, pH 5.7) at 27 °C. Were found the genotypes of sugar sorghum, which were able to form morphogenic calluses in the culture of somatic cells in vitro.
